Five from 5: Freesat adds 5 More Channels from Channel 5
Freesat announced that it is adding a range of popular channels from Channel 5 to the platform from
today, Tuesday 6th December: Channel 5+1, 5 USA, 5 USA+1, 5* and5*+1.
Freesat viewers will be able to watch some of the best comedy, sport, classic American action
movies and popular dramas on 5 USA including CSI New York, Numbers and Law and Order. The
addition of 5*to the service will ensure that Freesat viewers have access to great soaps, films,
entertainment, drama and documentaries with shows such as Alphas, Malcolm In The
Middle and *** and the City aired on the channel.
Adding Channels 5+1, 5 USA+1 and 5*+1means that Freesat viewers can watch shows an hour after
they’ve transmitted – adding to the flexibility Freesat viewers already have in watching their
favourite programmes.

channels are hugely popular and adding them to the Freesat platform is a fantastic development for
us and our customers. These additions further strengthen our entertainment genre as we continue
to bring greater subscription-free choice to audiences right across the UK.”

Channel 5+1 will be available on Channel 128,
Five USA on Channel 129,
5 USA+1 on Channel 130,
5* on Channel 131 and
5*+1 on Channel 132.
