The Czech public broadcaster Ceske Televize (CT) will change its structure from the beginning of next year.
Speaking at a meeting of the Czech Film and Television Association (FITES) and quoted by E15, its head Petr Dvorak said that around 18 creative groups would then be formed, with each focusing on an individual specialisation such as documentaries, kids programmes and co-productions.
The change will effectively result in a separation of the production and TV broadcasting roles at CT.
Dvorak also confirmed that CT plans to launch a children’s channel by the end of next year. To do so, it may seek help from the Ministry of Regional Development and Ministry of Education, as well as the EU
