NDS provides the glue for new KDG box

Kabel Deutschland has released a new HD set-top box that leans heavily on technologies supplied by NDS.
Manufactured by Sagemcom, the new box features NDS MediaHighway STB software, VideoGuard conditional access, an NDS VOD solution and a customized electronic programme guide (EPG).
Yves Padrines, VP Sales Europe & General Manager, NDS GmbH, said: “Through this new offering, Kabel Deutschland is enhancing the user experience for its subscribers and providing an all round higher quality of viewing, not only with HD as standard, but also with access to on-demand for all levels of subscriber.” He added “We are proud to be supporting Kabel Deutschland in this deployment and look forward to working together on future initiatives.”
In addition to driving take up of high definition services, the box also gives access to the Select Video on demand service in the process of being rolled out by KDG.
