Panasonic broadcast the Olympic Games in London 2012 3D
Panasonic Corporation has announced that it has reached an agreement with Olympic Broadcasting Services (OBS), the host broadcaster of the *** Olympiad, which begin on July 27, 2012, in London, with the use of cameras and AG-AG-3DP1 3DA1, professional camcorders dual integrated lens for 3D broadcast of the event. As Official Worldwide Olympic Partner for the London 2012 Olympic Games, Panasonic will offer full support for 3D first transmission of the Games, allowing viewers to experience the full excitement in their living rooms with a new level of immediacy. Continuing the tradition that began with the Barcelona Olympics in 1992 London Olympics will be the tenth Olympic Games in which Panasonic will provide professional audio and video technology for the dissemination of the Olympic Games. At the International Broadcast Centre (IBC) at Olympic Park in London in July 2012, all international images will be produced and distributed in HD (1080/50i). And the participation rights of broadcasters who plan to broadcast in 3D, have the support of Panasonic's 3D technologies and equipment for distribution of high image quality Full HD 3D. The worldwide audience can enjoy the Olympic Games, the largest sporting event with 640 sessions in 300 categories in 26 events over 19 days, with a new level of immediacy made possible by the image and sound quality.
