The FA Cup Final: Manchester City v Stoke City

The FA Cup Final: Manchester City v Stoke City
Adrian Chiles introduces coverage of the FA Cup final between Manchester City and Stoke City, live from Wembley. Cash-rich Manchester City are firm favourites, but their long-suffering supporters will take nothing for granted as the club goes in search of its first major trophy since 1976. Manager Roberto Mancini has been given the task of making City a major force in the game and an FA Cup triumph would be the perfect launch pad. Stoke City, under the guidance of boss Tony Pulis, are playing in the final for the first time in the club's history. The long throws of midfielder Rory Delap are sure to be a feature of the day as Stoke look to repeat the form that saw them thrash Bolton 5-0 in the semi-final. Commentary comes from Clive Tyldesley and Jim Beglin. HD

Don't read to much into man city's win in terms of development. Look at portsmouth, where did they end up. Have no doubt though that man city will become a force simply because of their money. But the semi finals they needed michael carrick to pass the ball in front of the goal for them to score, and yesterday they needed a double deflection of the stoke defenders legs to break through. Liverpool will be a bigger force than them next year I feel regardless of who they buy.
