IBC 2010 - AMSTERDAM:
The sole provider of satellite and cable television in Turkey, Turksat, announced that it plans to launch new satellites, Turksat 4A and Turksat 4B, in the first quarter of 2013.
The Turksat 5A, the fifth national communications satellite of Turkey, is expected to enter orbit in 2015.
The Turksat currently operates three satellites.
The company, providing uplink (uplink) from uplink stations located in Turkey, Germany and Cyprus, distributes 250 national and over 50 international television channels worldwide.
