France 24 has secured carriage on the Russian DTH platform NTV-Plus, both in its home market and in neighbouring Ukraine.
France 24 is already available on several ADSL and cable platforms in the two countries.
NTV-Plus is the longest of Russia’s five DTH platforms, having been launched in 1996, and has in the region of 600,000-650,000 subscribers. It has been present officially in Ukraine, where it has a local partner named New Television Technologies, since 2006.
