Romania’s TV ad market was worth between €96-100 million in the first half of this year, or 1.5% more than in the corresponding period in 2009, according to Omnicom Media Group Romania.
However, quoted in Financiarul, the company also says that the net value of the media market as a whole fell by between 5-10% year-on-year to some €175 million.
2010 is generally expected to be a tough year for Romania’s media market, which could shrink by up to 10%.
Media spend for 2010 as a whole is expected to be around €308 million, with TV (€209 million) accounting for the lion’s share of the total.
