Kingdom Holding, owned by Saudi Arabia’s Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, plans to launch a new Arabic news channel in partnership with the Fox Network.
The as-yet-unamed channel will be independent of Alwaleed's regional media and entertainment group Rotana Media, which News Corp recently acquired a 9.1% stake in for US$70m (€56m). Journalist Jamal Khashoggi, former editor of Saudi-based Al Watan newspaper, will head the 24-hour channel.
