Middle Eastern broadcaster Orbit Showtime Network plans to move its headquarters out of Bahrain and into Dubai, according to local reports.
The company’s board of directors has approved plans to relocate to the UAE within the next six months. Reports suggest the broadcaster is unhappy with a lack of action against satellite piracy in the country.
Orbit moved its broadcasting base to Bahrain from Rome in 2003. Last July, pay-TV operators Orbit and Showtime, merged to create the largest pay-TV operator in the Middle East.
