The Russian DTH platform Tricolor TV has added two more MPEG-4 channels to the service it distributes on Eutelsat W7 at 36 degrees East. As a result, the total number offered by its Optimum and Super Optimum packages now stands at 41.

Tugan Tel is a Tatar music channel (its name translates as “mother tongue”), while KHL is a Russian channel dedicated to hockey and in particular the hockey league of the same name in Russia and the CIS countries.

Tricolor TV is the leading DTH platform in Russia in terms of subscriber numbers and backed by Gazprom Media, which also owns NTV-Plus, the country’s longest established satellite TV broadcaster.
