The Romanian regulator ANCOM has announced that the specifications for DTT licence tender for the country’s first two multiplexes are now available.
They include minimum technical requirements that bidders must meet to participate in the contest, minimum requirements if they are successful and dates by which offers can be received. In the latter instance, it is August 31 for both multiplexes, with the winner of the first mux being announced on September 28 and second on October 8.
However, ANCOM may put back both dates if it has a large amount of information to process or if any appeals are lodged.
The actual selection procedure will take place in three phases: qualification, bid evaluation and award, with appeals initially allowed within three days of notification of the result.
