Eutelsat Communications has appointed Andrew Wallace as chief commercial officer, to head up its overall sales and marketing activities.
Wallace, a former marketing director at Pace, has also held positions with Cable & Wireless in Paris, London and Singapore.
His new role extends that previously held by Olivier Milliès-Lacroix, who is leaving the Paris-based satellite operator after 19 years to pursue other opprtunities. Wallace will take on the leadership of the Group’s infrastructure and value-added services businesses. This includes the multi-national commercial teams serving markets for broadcast, data and government services from Eutelsat’s headquarters in Paris and from offices across Europe, and in Asia, North and South America. He will oversee the multimedia business, including the Tooway product, which will continue to be headed by Arduino Patacchini, who now reports to Wallace.
