The movies-on-demand subscription service PictureBox has acquired the on-demand rights in Poland to more than 30 films from The Walt Disney Company EMEA.
PictureBox, which is wholly owned by Universal Pictures, was launched in 2006 and is currently offered by the DTH platform n in Poland. It is also available in the UK and Singapore and will be expanded in due course to other territories.
The films covered by the agreement with The Walt Disney Company EMEA include three from the Pirates of the Caribbean series, The Incredibles, Armageddon, National Treasure, Face/Off and Pretty Woman.
