France Télévisions launches Pluzz

France Télévisions online catch-up TV service will be launched on Monday. Called Pluzz, it will offer for free the whole genre of programmes, from drama and games to news and magazines issued from the group (France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France O), available for catch-up viewing.
This includes TV series hit Plus belle la vie, formerly accessible only on a pay-per-view model.
Pluzz.fr’s revenue model is based on advertising and the objective of France Télévisions is to double its audience by the end of 2010. The group plans to grow from 15 million viewed videos to 30 million.
One thousand videos will be accessible on Monday. The creation of Pluzz has been made possible by the end of the exclusive catch-up agreement FTV had passed with Orange, but that ended last April. FTV has confirmed ongoing talks with all the French operators regarding non-exclusive partnerships.
