Sony Germany has announced that with immediately effect all home video programming from the ProSiebenSat.1 group is now available on its connected devices. This includes the Sony Bravia TV sets, Blu-ray players and Home Cinema sets.
The agreement covers programming from the channels Pro Sieben, Sat.1 and Kabel Eins and will exclusively be available on Sony devices for the coming months; this excludes similar deals with Philips Net TV, Samsung@Internet and similar services. The programmes can be viewed free of charge.
Sony devices already have non-exclusive access to the so-called “Mediateken” with catch-up TV progrsmmes from the public broadcasters ARD, ZDF and others. There is also a choice of short form programming available from Eurosport.
