French cable operator Numericable has launched the first African content subscription-VOD service as part of its Vidéo Club VOD portal.
The new Films d’Afrique service offers a choice of 60 movies, TV series and music videos from African countries such as Mali, Senegal, Ivory Coast, Cameroon and Guinea. About 20 new titles will be added every month. Viewers have unlimited access to these prorammes for a monthly subscription fee of €4.99.
The deal was brokered by the French Thema company.
