Ziggo reaches 1 million VoiP homes

Holland’s largest cable operator Ziggo has announced it has now reached 1 million telephony customers. The cabler is also extending its DOCSIS 3.0 footprint to Utrecht.
Reaching the milestone, the operator now almost has one in three of its 3.2 million homes served as telephony customers. To celebrate, Ziggo will give free calls to all Dutch fixed line numbers on Valentines day.
The operator is also extending its DOCS 3.0 footprint to the city of Utrecht with speeds up to 120 Mbps. High speed access is already available in Amersfoort, Enschede, Heerhugowaard, Meppel, Tilburg and Maastricht.
Ziggo has 1.4 million digital TV homes and 1.4 million broadband customers.
