The Czech Radio and TV Council (RRTV) has granted MTV Networks Ltd licences to operate localised versions of MTV, Comedy Central and Viva in neighbouring Hungary.
In the case of Viva, the licence is also extended to Slovakia and Romania, and all the licences are a valid for a period of 12 years.
RRTV’s other decisions, announced on June 23, include the award of a 12-year cable distribution licence for Harmonie TV, a channel operated by the telco CoopTV.
