ITV Live attracts over 1m users

ITV has announced that its new ITV Live online service has attracted over one million users in its first week of availability.
On June 11, the broadcaster launched its dual-screen initiative at ITV.com offering live World Cup match streams, along with interactive information and social media options.
In its first full week, ITV Live has gained over one million unique users, with an average of 130,000 viewers watching the live streams of ITV's World Cup matches.
England's game against the USA attracted 90,000 viewers to ITV Live, with the following match against Algeria increasing to 121,000 unique users.
The peak viewing figures came for Holland versus Denmark, with 240,000 unique users watching the match on ITV Live.
"We are thrilled that over a million football fans have enjoyed ITV Live so far and are very proud of being the only UK broadcaster offering this level of dual-screen experience for the FIFA World Cup 2010," said ITV director of online and interactive Ben McOwen Wilson.
"ITV Live is a revolutionary proposition and as such we are refining the user experience daily as we learn more about how fans want to interact with this event."
ITV also indicated that its new FIFA World Cup iPhone app has been downloaded 355,000 times in its first seven days of availability.
