The MGM Channel has signed agreements with DTH platforms in Taiwan and Vietnam, according to Bruce Tuchman, president, MGM Worldwide Networks.
The movie channel launches on the DishHD platform in Taiwan, following on the heels of the launch of The MGM Channel on the K+ platform operated by VSTV, the joint venture between VTV and Canal+ Group.
“When we started to roll-out The MGM Channel worldwide over the last decade, our objective was to gain widespread global distribution for the channel and we’ve been very successful to date in fulfilling this goal,” said Tuchman in a statement. “In this vibrant digital age, it is gratifying to see new platforms come to us first as they need a quality film channel to get viewers excited by offering value and compelling entertainment. Our team has made great strides with this enterprise and it’s rewarding to see The MGM Channel become a top pick and must have channel for both DishHD in Taiwan and K+ in Vietnam.”
