Preparations are well under way to launch what will be the Czech Republic’s fifth DTH platform.
According to E15, T-Mobile has for the last four months been working on plans to become a virtual satellite operator, buying capacity on existing platforms such as Skylink and CS Link. However, while Skylink has confirmed it would be open to such co-operation, the mobile company has refused to comment about its plans.
Interestingly, T-Mobile’s sister company Telecom, which operates under the brand name T-Com, launched its own DTH platform this January.
Known as Magio Sat, it currently offers viewers over 70 channels. The Czech Republic’s other DTH platforms are UPC Direct and Digi TV.
