hi
having managed to get my wifi bridge adaptor sorted (at last), i could do with some help on port forwarding on my bt homehub so that i might be able to use cccam 214. i have set my port range to 12000 to 12003.
translate port range to 12000 to 12003
trigger port to 12000

is that it or do i need to do something else, or maybe i have the wrong ports
sorry if my questions seem a bit basic but i will get there in the end

Are you actually going to act as a server? If no, you do not need to do anything to the hub.

If you are going to act as a server, you need to forward the port as defined in cccam.cfg (the default is 12000, search the text file for "SERVER LISTEN PORT" in the file).

There are plenty of tutorials on port forwarding on the home hub, including some on *******. Best bet is to give them a try first and let us know of any problems.

thanks for that info.
i was using the link in your signature to try and speed up my router so that i get less glitches. but if that doesnt apply to my setup then i need to look for other reasons for the stop/start.

If you are not a server you do not need to open ports. Opening ports is done so that others can connect to you.

You could try the cccam add-on files. The ones I use are at

Failing that, the only thing to do is hang around and get your post count up so you can access one of the other servers. The free ones are posted all over the net so tend to be a bit overloaded.

as for hanging around, i intend to but sadly for me i am just learning this thing so getting my post count up might be a problem (without posting a load of crap) which i dont want to do and nor will i

The post count does build up quickly. And if you have any sat related questions, ask away, that's another good way to both build up the count (and learn something too). I've learned a lot just by reading questions, and "attempting" to answer them
