2 boxes on 1 motor

Hi all
I want to connect up 2 sat boxes two my motor 1 spider box and 1 technomate i have tried using the lnb loop throu but this has not been very successfull what would the best option to do this . Thanks

l'm not sure, but would an a-b switch do the job, to control boxes, to motor.

perhaps digicon knows the answer.

I thought of a A to B switch as well but thought they were for switching between 2 different sats

Think that's a Diseqc Switch you are thinking about.

I've been using the loopthrough for some years now, and still working. My 'main' box comes in first and then my '2nd' box. First I used a fixed dish with 4 lnb's (both receivers needed the same sats and store position). Now I'm using a bigger dish with actuator and positioner. Only thing - to avoid problems again - is: the dish has to be turned with my 'main' box (so on 2nd box motor is on 'none'). Hope this helps, best regards.

Do you have loop through on both boxes?
Maybe the other way around?

The Spiderbox has to have the eco mode turned off for lnb loop through to work which means the Spiderbox need to be in stand bye for the Technomate to work so what i am looking for is a way to have both boxes switched on the same time on the same satelite

Why do you want both boxes on at the same time if I may ask? If I'm not wrong, you can only see channels from the same transponder then. I used that before and it gave me nothing but troubles. I keep it at only 1 box on at the same time. Personal opinion of course ...

a splitter could work (diseq able) but as pan1300 says only same trnspndr when used both

if you want both receivers on at the same time and different channels then you will need at least a Twin output LNB and just use either one box as the main Motor driver and the other as a slave.

@toby69 came up with the most reasonable solution and one that will not create problems an A/B switch but you can only have have one receiver on at once.

A power pass splitter will work again both receivers will only receive the same TP and polarity H or V and not allow you to switch to different channels unless they are on the same TP

I am using a twin lnb output but at the moment only one lead running to it .It is a 30 mtr run to the house so i have avoided running a second lead but know it may be my only option Thanks for everyone input. Thecrazybandit
