    What is left on 28east

    I am in southern Spain and after what we we hope are the final changes on this sat When I scan I have 641 channels left. Of course I have lost all the UK beam channels but I am quite pleased at least I have some channels left.
    I just wondered how other people have got on, please post here.

      @sasho123,
      1.5mtr Gibertini and black ultra in Andalucia. No UK beam channels since early 2014 but some more channels switched to UK beam with the arrival of 2g. I then lost over a 100 channels more.

          unless you are In Gibraltar you got to have some signal from some UK beam tp
          did you try at different times of the day with different UK tps from 2F, 2E, 2G
          also receiver sensitivity Is Important when you are In fringe

            I don't want members here to be mislead so could you please tell me the source that you got your information from?
            Andalucia covers a very large area from the border with Portugal, Gibralter to just south of Alicante.
            Yes I have tried at different times of day and using different transponders so have other people with up to a 3mtr dish, if you look at the spectrum on the meter it tells it all.
            @kalpikos is spot on I have gained on all European beams now that 2a has gone.
            I look forwards to your reply.
            Regards,

              yes Andalucia Is large
              you didn't tell exactly where are you that Is why I said whether or not you are close to Gibraltar as It looks that It Is on one of the nulls of beam
              I got a very reliable source In Alicante that dish 1.8 m got a margin and no problems at all with UK beam
              I saw a reports from other enthusiasts with dish size of 1.2 and locations near Alicante also that can pull some tps

                yes the null beam is not far south of Alicante most of Andalucia is in the null beam, Alicante is practically out of Andalucia. Clarification appreciated.

                  The only way to know what you can open or not on 28.2 is to try it out yourself
