    Hi boomtang,

I don't know how much money you want to spend on your new receiver, but if I were you, I would buy a vu+ solo 2. You won't regret it. Make sure to buy it from a reliable seller because there are lots of clones.

      Hi boomtang

If you search the forum you will find a lot of discussions about this.

It's better to go for a genuine vu+ box or a dreambox dm800se and even a clone of it.

        Vu+ Solo2
        Dream Box 800HD,
        Neotion 3000, Skystar2, PTCL IPTV
        HP LCD W2338h

It all depends how much you want to fiddle with the new box , while linux is very good it takes a lot of tweaking , if you want just a simple to use box i would go for a more traditional one like Technomate 5402 , Cristor Atlas or Qviart .

The 5402 is basically the same machine as the Blade7000s the obvious upgrade would be a linux receiver

              Hi thanks for help
Have been looking at vu+ solo 2 units, but have limited knowledge, best place to buy? and are they easy to set up?
Do I just install NEWCAMD from blade or is it not that simple?
              cheers

                Hi

I can't tell you exactly from where you can buy it in your country but I can suggest you to avoid ebay or other sellers from web pages which offer to you a very low price.

Select a reliable good shop that can give you the legally warranty for the box and also can guarantee to you that the box you are buying it's not a clone, because the market is already full with vu+ clones.

As about the knowledge that you hace in order to handle the vu+ box, I just remind you that is the same as a dreambox.

If you read a guide about linux - enigma2 you will not have any problem.

It's very friendly and easy to install.

You will install cccam, mgcamd or any other cam you want and the only you have to do is to transfer a working line from your old box.

                  Hi boomtang,

i would suggest a linux box too. I just bought a Gigablue 800 ue+. It is very comfortable to handle, comparably cheap. Everything is updatable online. I am happy with it.

                  Greetings
