    satellite mixer for multi receiver

I am from Asia and I am trying to construct a multi-receiver system for 124E and 128E. The two satellite has both H/V signal and they only have high band unlike those in Europe. I read on a forum that says in order to enable multi receiver viewing, they use two dish and two dual output lnbf. One with lo 11.2 and the other 10.678. They use external power supply for each of the output of the lnb so as to get h and v signal from the lnb. Then, they use satellite signal mixers, to mix the four signal into one cable. And from there, they split the signal to multiple receiver. On each of the receiver, lnb power is off, and they are able to watch on each of the receiver.

My question is is that doable? If so, why we need to have a multiswitch for even just one satellite? Thanks so much.

One more question. I am using emp centauri 5/16 multiswitch. Does it provide power to lnbf or it passes on power from the receiver?

Re: satellite mixer for multi receiver

I seriously doubt it's possible to use such a setup. What if there are 2 channels with the same freq on different polarizations? In the meanwhile multiswitch is needed to connect receivers with LNBs with hard switched polarization.

About your multiswitch. Just turn off power in receiver's menu. If TV works - multiswitch supplies LNB itself. If not - connects receiver's power supply to LNB.
