They Only have the Champions league rights for the 2014-2015 Games after that it falls exclusively to BT Sport from 2015 onwards for 3 years OH! dear.

It will be SD only for cs and they have increased prices for all packages so they
can't really say no additional fee.

Hi skytec,

Unfortunately, there is no Sky Sports 5 tv schedule, yet. The only thing I know is that Sky Sports 5 will launch with the UEFA Super Cup between Real Madrid and Sevilla on 12th august. I think there will be a tv schedule as soon as the channel starts on 12th august.

Why have they bothered with another channel? Why don't they just use SS3 and SS4 for Champions league. There isn't much else on those two channels.

Don't forget that there is not only football in sports world, but there are also and other sports that people are interested in.

Finally, it's a nice gesture from sky to launch a channel for all european leagues

I don't think it matters what format it is transmitted in so long as it is watchable.

Granted there maybe other sports worldwide, but considering they do own the rights to a large proportion of EPL, they rarely show the majority of the games.

It'll be more useful and better for paying customers in the UK if they utilise all current Sky sports channels to show live football and use the interactive services to air other sports or vice versa.

A lot of the advertising they do these days is of live football. It just seems slightly mis-leading that on some weekends they hardly show any EPL.
