    Re: help about satellite receiver

Amiko Alien is a good box it as dual operating system spark and custom E2
images which you will have to load yourself. The spark side is very stable and
has improved a lot the E2 side the stability depends on the image you choose
less stable then spark but you get all the options of a linux E2 box.

I've had Alien 8900 and I can't complain about it, one thing I can say is that the
picture quality on all Amiko products is superior then some of the more expensive
receivers. At the moment I'm testing the Amiko Spiel which is a closed source but
very stable and easy to use and also comes pre loaded with Rabbit tv app and
SuperIPTV app if you wanted to take a subscription from either service very
easy to setup you will have to load a patched firmware and plugin for c line to
    but after that simple.

          Hello

          You can buy a vu+solo2.
If there is available in your country, you can buy it without a second thought.
Is one of the best receiver that combine speed, HD, iptv ready, linux2 based, stability, support and its user friendly.

If the price of a genuine box is a little high for you, you can look for a clone vu+.

If you can't find it in your country or you are looking for something cheaper, then is better to tell us what models are available in your country in order to sugest you the best choise.

Messi it makes sense what Mahrkpat is saying why don't you give a list of receivers that you can afford and get easily within your area and then you will get opinions that are relevant

when it comes to the Alien i would say it is far better than the Skybox/Openbox. It is a Spark/Enigma 2 receiver for starters so you can get E2 plugins also like TSMedia (for iptv) and also you can get Superiptv on the spark side.

The Technomates has a great tuner and i do not think you can go far wrong with a Spiderbox HD 6000 very good value for money

                    Re: help about satellite receiver

If I'm not mistaken, all the above receivers are linux based receivers, but for me this is not enough.

Honesty, I wouldn't buy one of them because of their support.

For many years, I had a dreambox dm500s and now have a vu+solo2 and until now I'm very satisfied from the support for these receivers.
So, I would insist for a dreambox or a vu+ even if this is a clone.

Is it illegal for your country to buy a receiver from China or other country or the cost is too high?

Could you please give us an example, how much does it costs a dm800se or a vu+solo2 clone from China to your door with courier?

I've had an Alien SHD 8900 & a Cloud Box and i would have to say that i think that the Alien is far better quality. The Cloud I Box is based on the VU Solo but not anywhere near as good. If i was to chose between one or the other i would chose the Alien. Having said that the Cloud is a fine box and it will suit your needs.

                          Re: help about satellite receiver

The cloudbox and skybox solo are both vu solo clones there is a lot of support for them,
they use clone images open pli is the most popular image that is used on them, they are
good entry level E2 box, the tutorials you need to follow are same as those for the vu solo.
I would recommend this box, I have used a openbox 6000hd another vu solo clone without
any problems also used the Alien as well gives you best of both the stability of a closed
source box with spark which has improved greatly recently and the chance to experience
the capabilities of E2 receiver, PQ is excellent but cloudbox are easier to use.

cloud ibox 1 is based on VU Solo. but i am thinking of buying cloud ibox 2+ which is latest. it is based on some GI xpeed lx1 receiver.

@skytec here ebay is not selling much receiver.only few are there.

@mahrkpat yeah bro openbox 6000hd and cloud ibox 1 are based on VU solo but latest cloud ibox 2+ which i am thinking of buying is based on some GI xpeed lx1 named receiver. so there are only few images are available for it, but it is much faster than cloud ibox 1.

If you buy a clone reciever, you are always taking a huge risk. From personal experience I would always recommend against it as if something goes wrong, the clone makers are not very helpful.
You should try sellers that are well known and see if they will ship to your country. I know world-of-satellite ship worldwide and only sell genuine receivers.

Cloud ibox 2 is a clone of the Golden Media XP1000 satellite receiver with this
you have to use clone images for it not the originals. A friend has this box it is
very good and open atv image runs very stable on it, and the only problem he
had with the open atv image is that premium iptv plugin would not work properly
but on open pli it did, for flashing etc.. you still can still follow the guides for a
vu solo it is only the clone images you use that will be different.

ps If you intend buying this box make sure it’s the later version with 2 x USB ports,
the earlier version had 1 x USB and blank screen boot-up problems due to faulty
resistors. (there is an easy fix for this but involves a bit of solder work)
