    good server or not??

    hey guys
sorry if this has been asked before but i couldn't find any old threads when i searched.

im trying out a few new cccam servers trials but other than watching them what stats should i be looking at to know if they are good.

    thanks

Consistent ECM response time i.e. as little fluctuation as possible in the milliseconds taken for the line to respond. The best servers tend to be those that have an ECM response time you can almost predict with each ECM request.

so the lower the better. right now im getting ecm 0.292 - 0.347

if i test a load of clines of servers at once how do i check which one my vu duo is using the most(the best one)

i have a vu duo running vix image

Yes, low is good, but consistency is better. A server that runs at say 180ms but jumps to 600ms every few minutes is not as good as one that runs 290ms - 320ms (for example) consistently.

My answer to that would depend on which $oftcam you were using more than the image you're using to be honest.

            Hello

            It's very simple my friend...

If you are watching the channels that you want and interest you without any freezing and glitching... or any delay , then the server is good.

I have clines from 3 different servers on my box now and Im still experiencing glitches. Does the box use all the clines or does it just use the first few clines??

                you can monitor the connections
                with log files
                and /var/tmp files
                like ecm.info
and also with the webif at --http://dbox:16001/servers

I would suggest you to try your c-lines one by one.
Just put a # in front a the c-line and save the cccam.cfg

Test all your c-line to find the better, but leave each time only one c-line active.
Many times the cccam can't select the next c-line although you have freezing with the first line.

i tried testing them one by one but they all seem the same for glitches. most channels were good with each server but for some reason no matter which server i used there were certain channels that were glitchy on every server.

i'm going to get a month of sub and see how they are over the course of a month its difficult trying to judge them over the course of 24 hours.

yeah i noticed that if there was freezing it select the next cline.

Pay attention to the condition. You cannot compare the risults during 24 hours because sometimes servers situation change completely.

                        Re: good server or not??

... such a long run survey
                        should take in account
the variation of the amount of simultaneous concurrent clients on the same caid,

                        that is:
                        - if you are alone on the server, one may assume low ecm time response
                        - if you are on such a major popular event, with many many other clients, one may guess higher ecm
and the given server may appears as good or bad ...

this survey makes senses to me
                        - if ran frequently
                        - on a spot basis :

how do behaves my 3 servers on this caid just now, today
                        and the day after
                        and the day after
                        and the day after ...
