It's nothing new they have been out for years in one guise or another the only problem they can kill your broadband allowance even if you are unlimited.
if you use to much data your provider will slow you down.
And if you stream you really need a 2.5mb speed and if you do not have high speeds download as a file to watch later.

xbmc has been around for a while. and works with nearly every OS out there.

its pretty good if u get the right plugins like 1channel and sports devil u can pretty much watch whatever u want

A friend of mine has one of these, the free to air channels are pretty consistent however when considering payed channels they are available sometimes, and not always which is kind of off putting, in my honest opinion its only good for people who are away from home and would like to watch something of their homeland that a satellite wont pick. It also depends on the server that the shop/owner uses to stream those channels to you, and another thing to consider is the broadband speed, as anything under 4MB will cause your blood pressure to POOF. (In terms of delays, buffering etc..)

And it also depends how good the server is, ie: his bandwidth, if a small bandwidth and a lot of users it does not matter how fast your connection is your download speeds will be useless to watch as a streamed item.

I'm not sure if you can get apps, because the box has custom firmware installed, but try using your box commercial name and search ****** for some info or specific forums for your device, because there are many different android iptv's in the market. Good Luck!

XBMC is one of the first DLNA certified media servers and many today's great media servers are based on XBMC. It supports many plugins (internet online streaming servers or on demand movie, music, video libraries.)

Who else is interested in FTA since Sky UK is available in *sharing!?
By satellite point of view, this is not so interesting.
Netflix on the other hand is a good idea!

Hi Dawbrain if your box is a true android box you should have a browser app installed,
open the browser then do a search for whatever app you are after also while your at it get a good file explorer, and media player,

Totally agree. For me, SKY is nowhere near value for money for what you get in return. I don't actually watch all that much TV (even if I do, it's usually via a catch-up service) and when I do decide to watch something "live", its generally on a FTA/FreeSAT.

I do follow Sport (football generally), for which SKY has mainly made its name/money off, but with BT Sport buying up all champions league and SKY themselves not showing as many premier league games as they could (should?), to me, personally, it seems people are getting ripped off.
