Anything opens on Hotbird with c-lines

Hello & happy New Year to everyone

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend. Currently he has a Technomate box and fixed dish on 13 degree (Hotbird).
He wants to know if its worth investing on an Enigma 2 box to use card sharing. For example, do the c-lines from over beloved satlover open any packages on Hotbird?

    Thanks

I'd like to remember the swiss channels, because they are very stable with satlover lines: they have a very rich and fresh offer of movies, TV series and sports (tennis, soccer, F1)
Three channels in german, two in french and two in italian (the three swiss languages) both SD and HD have very good quality.
Very important: all movies and TV-series have also original (usually english) audio, HD versions have also audio AC3.

So, on my own box, if I type the "boxipaddress:16001/providers" in my PC browser I get a list of all providers covered by the line I am using in my cccam?
Although I am only using it for s*k uk?!

          Thanks

Plus a lot of radios in french, german and italian.

Provided you are running CCCam and haven't changed the webif default port, yes.

                hi foxy6800

fyi: e2 open linux isn't necessary, also other boxes with closed linux can support cccam and clines (only server, but works fine for me - easy to setup and handle, but less possibilities to configure).

E.g. ferguson ariva receivers work very good on hotbird. Cheap and easy to handle via own webinterface. All the program hints in the posts above work very good! And it does its job not only on hotbird.

There are many providers on hotbird which work very good with satlovers clines.

                    Yes and No

If your friend has a big HD tv set ... yes

There are many channels on hotbird with HD quality that can be opened with satlover's line.
Also, an enigma2 box will give more abilities to your friend.

On the other hand, if his tv is a normal (<50') I think that It's not worth do to buy a HD receiver.
If his box is working ok, I think that he should not waste his money for quality that he can't enjoy.
Of course , don't forget that an enigma2 receiver needs some basically knowledge that your friend must have.

If you are on 13 hotbird you should also get what is available on 16 degrees.

Yes, if you have a dish as little as that one for a coffee cup...
Please, don't say absurd things: 3° are a lot (luckily, cause probably you wouldn't see both of them, but only a mess of frequencies...)
If you want other satellites there are double LNBs.
Anyway, if someone doesn't trust me, in Italy 13° it's the one and only position used, and in millions dishes I've never heard anything about someone getting also 16°...

Of course dear @herrr it's impossible to receive other satellite with 3° distance.

Obviously, @fandm wants to say that it is possible to get 16° by adding another lnb

Also, he can easily receive with one dish hotbird 13, astra 19 and eutelsat 16.

You can get a signal from the satellites 13th and 16th on one dish and one LNB, it needs to focus dish place between the satellites, but we will lose the majority of transponders, leaving only the strongest
