      Re: how to

On 5w the Viasat channels are circular left/right polarisation. If you are using a horizontal/vertical LNB you won't be able to pick these channels up. You will need an LNB capable of receiving left/right polarisation and a satellite box that can do the same.

I would imagine the OP actually means the Viasat Channels on 4.8° east which are all in the KU Band

          Re: how to

As digicon has rightly pointed out these are on 4.8/5 E,not W, they are also on the Nordic Beam of this Satellite, so unless you live on the East Coast of the UK or have a decent size of dish, around 1.2Mtr I would suggest, you will have a problem picking them up as the strength varies depending where you are.

Perhaps, if you make the assumption that den123 wants the most common Viasat channels? den123 has written 5 west and there are Viasat channels on Eutelsat 5 West that are only available on that satellite. Viasat Crime Africa, Viasat Explorer Africa, Viasat History Africa and Viasat Nature Africa can only be found on 5w, we don't know that those aren't the channels den123 is after.

Yes the bulk of the Viasat package is on 4.8 East, but for the record, Viasat channels can also be found on 75 East, 45 East, 39 East, 31.5 East, 23.5 East, 16 East, 9 East, 0.8 West, 4 West and 5 West.

Yes my friend you are quite correct about that, but I think you will find that he is trying to receive the Football from these channels, also the channels on 5 W you mention are on an African Beam, which I believe is also a big problem for anyone living in the UK.

Haha, this is true. I never said it would be easy to get them in the UK

Maybe our friend den123 has a place somewhere in Africa too? Haha

It would be helpful if Den would confirm it is West, or if he meant East.
