    in case a ISP is also a SAT provider I guess he would be interested in knowing who is doing cs but between "knowing" and filtering/stopping this kind of traffic there is a big difference and distance ... I don't know about british laws but I'm sure that privacy protection should overcome cs issues.
    So, even if ISP knows, he can't cut service because he's not supposed to know !

        VPN stands for Virtual Private Network.
        With this technique you can build a private network using a public network (internet), where "private" means "unaccessible from outside" because strongly encrypted (though encryption is transparent to the users of vpn)
        A very common implementation is OpenVpn.
