Re: Satellite changes at 28.2° East

Hi cgac99! I would like to know if you are able to watch BT Sport 1 in SD & HD BT Sport 2 in SD & HD, ESPN in SD & HD and MU TV channels on your demo? I can see also all channels on 28.2°E with my dish but not these channels.

Hi odysseas1991! In which city of Europe do you live? and what's the size of your dish? Do you have a LNB 0.1db?

Hi, it is UK with 0.1db gold and 1.2metre dish. Signal is strong, I was just making an observation that the transponders change too frequently.

        good luck.

0.1 lnb Is not Important at all when dealing with UK coverage beam and you are far outside

If you can get 2F then you have to get also BBC and ITV

Not surprising he is In Albania close to Greece so it is likely that he will get PE beams but not spot beams regardless of if they are on 1n, 2f.
BBC and ITV are on spot beams, sky on PE so receiving one doesn't mean that you can receive the other. BT sport is on 2f pe beam.

                      Regards nml

I noticed no changes here in south Europe, the signal level remain about he same for channels you highlited...with 1mt dish and a 0.1db LNB I can receive all spot except UK spot beam, that is focused on British islands.

I have seen info on other forums that suggest CS of sly hd channels is soon to end as the new cards are paired to the new box and encrypted CW sent between card and paired box. I hope it's BS, anyone heard anything about this ?

We are discussing about signal coverage of some transponders, not if you are able to decode them or not.
To verify a transponder signal level you do not need to be able to decode the channels trasmitted into it.

Cards are already paired to a box so no problem there, but there is an unconfirmed rumour going about that new cards will be issued next year.

This could be a problem but I am sure that the professionals we all rely on will sort it out.

There is a thread about signal strength called Astra 2e about 2e only this one is about general changes at 28.2 east including altered signal strength on existing satellites there.

                              Hope this helps nml
