    Re: Jsc 3.0°e

Your 1.8m dish will have no problems with the JSC channels broadcast from the MENA beam in other words you should get JSC +105 and the 1-6 HD channels and still hold them in the rain.

I have a 1.2m NW UK and i get all +1-5 and HD1-6 and hold them in light rain or cloudy skies 24 hours a day but in heavy rain i lose them completely.

Your 1m orbital dish would be better equipped with the Inverto Black Ultra LNB as it is a far better performer than the Premium series.

    Regards

would you say a channel master 1.2 or a Gibertini 1.25m would be the best option Thanks again

Last week I tried with a borrowed 1.2m Echostar dish and it didn't perform any better than my 1m Orbital.

Thats the worry it seems to change from location to location and installation. I just read your story regarding the ecostar on anthor forum I bet you were well fed after going throught the trouble with the lnb.

                Re: Jsc 3.0°e

As you say Location varies wildly between not only areas and postcodes but even someone in the next street might not pull in what your getting on your equipment.

I can only go off my own setup and what that pulls in but comparing a Gibby or CM with an Echostar 1.2 i have no idea the only other 1.2m i tested was an S.A.C one and it was crap a TD88 pulled in the exact same amount of signal and quality which means the dish was crap in the first place.

Take into consideration what the dish is made of and its coating, I know the Channel Master's are well made and still are and there are not many 1.2m dish's that can match its performance so it could be worth a try.

Digicon was that a joke at the end "You have nothing to lose but everything to gain"

I think it was a bit of a silly question I asked which dish is better.

Channel master are now Andrews now Raven I believe

Anyway my m8s 1.8m dish turns out be a 2.4m its coming tomorrow
He got it from maplins a few years ago should be a fun day tomorrow.

Yea, I was disapointed, but it was worth a try.
I also went to the trouble and expense of putting another mount up on the wall for the Echostar, but I am now useing that with an old 90cm fixed dish dish for 28E. So not a complete waste of time.

You dont know if you dont try these things thats what this hobby is all about.
Anyway this maplin dish turns out to be a fortecstar and is meant to be rubbish but its going to be a laugh. I can not wait to see my neighbors faces when it goes up.

If your dish is bigger than 1Mt you need planning permission to put it up in the UK.

The best thing to do is use a ground mount no permission needed and better protection from the wind
