    Transponder not working ? Hotbird

    Hello,

I would like to know if this transponder is working for you :

    hotbird 13e 12539H 27500 FEC 2/3 dvb-s2

For me it's at 0, no lock, nothing

I have good reception from all other frequencies, around 15 db.
12520v is at 14.9 db and 12558v is at 14.2 db.

I have a 75 cm dish, 3 lnbs (hotbird in the middle, astra 19 and astra 4.8).

    Am I missing something ?

    Thanks for your help.

Do the other horizontal high-band transponders (11700 and above) work for you?

You can not see anything on it (perhaps with some TBS cards) that's multistream used as link for terrestrial relays...

No, stu. You won't be able to pick that transponder up with a standard STB.

          Oh, ok.

It seems then that king of sat list is not up to date.

No, it was never available for public, but kingofsat decided anyway to display the trasponder that way.

Yes, King of sat is up to date, it's just that you need a specialised box,(not available to the public) to pick DVB-S2 8PSK ACM/VCM transmitions.
There are a few transponders like that on Hotbird.

no there is nothing wrong on your receiver dear stu667

there are on various sats and these transmissions serve as professional feeds for terrestrial network providers of cable iptv or dvb terrestrial.

they can not be received with sat boxes but only with couple of dvb for pc cards supporting multistream encoding and special plugins like crazyscan

                  hi guys

all true, but how come (according to king of sats) there are channels on these 'strange' transponders (mostly it.)? do they open with original 'it' boxes or can no one see them?

This channels are feeds in multistream for an italian terrestrial Pay tv and you need professional instruments to open them.

This kind of transmission should be done on satelites who have not much traffic and not on birds in need of more space !

yes dear if you search you will see they are some similar transmissions on that kind of satellites spots but you should consider also that for example this hotbird transponder refers to mediaset italia services and providers just want to have all their services easy to handle on a single spot.

also i do not think hotbird has a lack of frequencies available to customers so that it was needed to move on a marginal satellite

But without proper hardware (proper sat-card) you can't do anything.
