    Anti CS from Premier League

Here is some norwegian news about Premier League anti cs tactick

    Originally news: https://http***://www.nettavisen.no/...cle3678269.ece

I have translated the most important from norwegian to english:

Earlier this year, norwegian TV2 Premier League channels and TV2 Sport channels merged to TV2 Sport Premium, and it was more expensive for viewers to access the games from the English league. Now it will be even more costly. At least for some.

To prevent unauthorized viewing of matches, Premier League has decided that all satellite distributors should be required to identify its subscribers using a number to be displayed on the tv screen.

Not all decoders support this, and if you have Canal Digital's old HD PVR decoder from Sagem, you will no longer be able to see your favorite team's games in the Premier League.

This is a requirement of the Premier League. You need to switch to a newer decoder to watch the games, says Director of Canal Digital.

Those who is affected by this terms will be infromed. It will only affect the Canal Digital customers with TV2 Sport Premium Package, and less than half of these will need a newer decoder.

Notice that this is not canal digital as a tv provider that is doing this, but Premier League......

I think there is some problem in translation...a number on the screen???
If it is not a misunderstanding...it's a joke...

The translation is correct. They require a number to be "printed" on the screen. Now this can also affect card sharing and not only streaming, as they can trace who is doing the stream or card sharing by this number.

The problem is how they can trace your card in cs, where no screen picture streams...surely not with the number on the screen...
It's interesting to know what else is implemented.
I think there is a serial in cards "digits" and they are also shared...

Yes, of course, I think it was so in pubs: this way they can't use "home" subscriptions or worse cs...

This is one of the measures against internet-streaming, not cs!
They are angry about sopcast or other flashstreams. The number on the screen which has to change it's position randomly is to identify the original streamer.
If you want to make God laugh, tell him your plans!

That makes more sense. With the number on the screen they can catch the streamer.

But imagine you're a normal subscriber and you have permanently a serial number on your sceen which changes it's position every minute.
I won't be very happy about that! And many other viewers think the same...
