Jamming or interruption on eurosport?

One hour ago I was in a sport studio with live tv and watching eurosport live - a football match uzbekistan - Jordan, but without sound.
After 120 minutes 1:1 - then penalties, but suddenly the picture freezes after 2 penalties and after 1 minute only 5 minutes an endless repetition of viewers in the stadium, then eurosport switched to another match.
Does anyone know what happend there or why the transmission stopped?
Technical or other problems?

Only as information, I found the solution in a newspaper:

It was an electrical power failure/cut in the transmission - and that happend exactly in the middle of the penalty shooting.



But it was interesting to see the eurosport reaction with the an endless repetition of viewers.
Other stations fade in a picture with an excuse-message.
