havent got the grasp of setting up cline yet ,i am not very good at figuring out how to set it up .but i will keep trying,am nearly sixty years old,and not very good on the electronics.what is straight foward for you guys is very confusing for me .and i suppose most people my age .thanks again for your patience.

hmmm, if you doubt: best to stay with your current boxes (as I've read: protek and mvision - use the protek with the own server and the mvision with cccamn, as I suggested before). This combination (= exactly the same as mine) should give you all you need. Linux boxes are far more difficult and require linuxknowledge. Just my opinion, best to get the cccam working on the mvision (only client) and then go further with the openbox - if not: pretty good chance you get a bit frustrated.

I haven't got one of these (I have only client for this moment), but from what I've read: take one of a Vu+ solo (as this seems to be a clone of this box) - about opening channels: as said, this won't open anything (isn't like the boxes you know/have, there is no freeserver!), so without cccam/newcamd/... nothing will be open!!!

Only good way to explain is once you have the box, hands on is the best so you
can see what we are telling you to do depending on the image you use there will
be option for you to install a plugin for your line eg oscam, mgcamd, cccam etc..

The one other thing you will need on your pc is a ftp program I prefer dcc but
others might recommend another it sounds daunting but isn't really it just a way
of transferring files from your pc to your box eg your line to the correct location.
