    Remote control Keys for Enigma2

    Is there a tutorial about changing the key actions for the remote control in enigma2?
    I have DM 800se and openpli image.
    I want to set a button to open the bouquet list directly.
    I also want the number buttons to go abc2 instead of 2abc when channel list is open.
    Thanks

    You need to edit the keymap file located at /usr/share/enigma2/keymap.xml , but do a lot of research in advance and be careful what you alter and make a backup of the original.
    There is also a plugin for keymapping, do a search for your image and box.

      I figured this was the file to edit.
      But I need some documentation to be able to work with it.

        Try multi quick button plugin. Very handy for changing button actions.

          Just done a quick search an can't find any documentation the same as when I looked a couple of years ago. But basically if you open the xml you will see how it works and the if the keys you want are listed you can alter them, worth a try?
          Or as I said do a search for the plugin has to be worth a go.

          Good luck, sorry I can't be more helpful, if I had more time I would have a look for you.

          Nice one mate just tried it and that should solve his first problem fo the bouquet button but the numbers buttons will need a keymap edit if it's possible.

            Here are some of the most common flags used in keymap.xml:
            Code:
            m = make -> Normal key press
            l = long -> Long key press
            b = break -> Key released
            r = repeat -> Key locked (pressed continuously)

            "m" arrives once, as soon as the key is pressed
            "r" arrives after "m", when the key is pressed continuously until the key is released
            "l" arrives after 5 repeats, but then only once (repeat still arrives)
            "b" arrives as soon as the key is released.

            They can also be combined, eg. flags="mr"

                  That's unfortunate. I tried some editing but it didn't work.

                  I remember editing the files for enigma1 and fixing them very easily. I don't know why enigma2 has to be more complicated.

                  The same is true for skins. There is another topic that I started:

                  trying to edit a skin file. Even on the openpli website there is no proper support for it.

                    i suppose its was to easy to mess with enigma1 that they did a enigma2
                    there has more keys and hidden folders that you don't see in a ftp program
                    unless you have unlocked the hidden folders
