If it costs more than the Vu+ solo2, people with less budget will buy the less reliable (but cheaper) clone version, unfortunately. So, I think the clone manufacturers will profitate a lot from it.

I don't think we will ever know that has no figures are released on the exact sales and It also depends how many manufactures of the same model clone box there are,

Usually it is one manufacturer who makes the boards and then sells the boards to other producers who then pretend that they are best supplier,
If a company goes to China for the production of products then they could have their product copied by the manufacturer of their original product, that is the price they pay for trying to get a cheap price, and if the don't want their products copied they should produce them in their own country and make it far harder for it to be cloned.
