It's better using a bigger silent fan because it's very annoying to hear it all the time when you are watching tv.
The passive cooler I think is a little dangerous for this box.

Since we talk about cooling of hot device which is practically warm from manufacturing process already, it's good to give some infos about "do it yourself" guide of cooler installment:

For real nex generation of recivers they should put decoding of H.265 (HEVC) and support 4K video.

You are right my friend...
Dm8000HD is a very expensive receiver and only few people can buy it.

On the other hand,
there are some receivers as the DM800se G2 and DM500hd G2 that have better prices but I believe that are also overpriced.
That's why all people are buying clones and not the original boxes.

I have read that the processor should be 1.5 ghz dual core quad thread with real 1080p transcoding (BCM7251 is new System-on-a-Chip (SoC) ???) and the price will be similar to vu+ duo2.

If the price of the new box will be similar to vu+ duo2 it will be a very nice movement from Dreambox.
Maybe they have decided to change their policy in pricing.

Regarding the release date, I think we will have to wait almost a year.
