    i guess that satellite transmission will be on 28 east and on narrow uk beam as usual so will be very difficult to receive them for all of us outside this spot

      Undoubtedly they will only be focused at the UK because they sell BBC Entertainment and BBC Knowledge around europe they wont chance losing that cash cow

        That's the problem for every sat which is not on your dish.

        But the 28° spot is good to receive in the west part of europe (france, benelux, west-germany).

          hi

          i have a standard twin lnb pointed to 13e and 19e
          (ie with an integratedDiSEqC inside, i suppose)

          rcvr
          |
          v
          [ twin lnb::lnb1.1]< (13e)
          [ ---- ---::lnb1.2]< (19e)

          i want to receive bbc, ie 28e

          should this be possible:
          - add a lnb for 28e + 1 diseqc

          rcvr
          |
          diseqc
          | |
          | v
          | [ twin lnb::lnb1.1]< (13e)
          | [ ---- ---::lnb1.2]< (19e)
          |
          +->[lnb2.1]< (28e)

          thx

            yes i know about reaching signal there but outside this area needs large dishes or even impossible.

            my small motorised dish is not enough for this

              thx
              There's no diseqc inside of twin LNBF, there are two LNBF in one case, if your twin LNBF looks something like this

              So you may take 4 port simple diseqc switch, connect 2 outputs from your LNB to 1 and 2nd inputs of diseqc, second LNB pointed to 28E connect to 3rd input and thet will be ok.
              I just may give you a little advice. Focus your dish with simple LNB on 28E and treat your 13/9E LNB as a multifeed. For Hot Bird easier to catch then 28E (at least in my area)

                You mean you have a double-lnb (monoblock) with 2 sats and 1 output?
                In that case no.
                You have to change to 3 lnbs and a diseqc 1.0 switch (4in1out).

                  You must mean a Monoblock Lnb if you are receiving 13E & 19E from one Lnb
                  You could certainly fit a new single Lnb with a bracket and switch to a 4 way Diseqc switch. note that the 28E Lnb will need to be slightly higher than your other Lnb.

                    With regards to Kontoni's point about not receiving a signal from 28 is probably because he is in Cyprus. It is at the very edge of the footprint and they usually have a dish as big as your house just to get even the tiniest bit of signal. Even then, when the weather is very hot like I would imagine it to be now, the signal is lost sporadically. There is not really a way of having a solid signal for 28east in Cyprus in these conditions!

                      It depends on your location. You may need to add another dish to receive 28e sat. Take a look here: _http://www.satbeams.com/footprints
