Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
I think 3D is not fundamental….if you have a tv that support this technology ok, but if you don't it doesn't matter…I had a 3D tv but I watched a 3D program just three times, (my wife had an headache!)….it's a new technology, it needs more time I think

Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
Companies are working in 3D technology without glasses.
Nintendo 3DS is an example, but really it doesn't works fine. Headache are very common each time you use this device, so we must wait for a smoother 3D technology.
Manufacturers now on are developing 4K technology, 3D without glasses and Holographic technology.
We will see amazings tech discovers nearly.
And about an aditional 3D device between tuner and tv set, I don't think is a good idea, because of price, it is very expensive. Is better buying a 3D TV.

Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
if I understood correctly, by buying the box we obtain the effect 3D, 3D TV has a function to convert 2D to 3D, but with full 3D effect noLeave a comment:

@BM300
you are right!
I forgot that some people may have a 55' or 60' tv and they have spent a little fortune to buy them, but they can't watch 3d,
so , in this case .... yes, it's a very useful gadget for them.Leave a comment:

Hello Clark197,
The nice thing about it is that you can see 3D on standard (non 3D) screens.
Naturaly you still need glasses.
@kalpikos
The high price of the unit may not justify it.
But if you have a large screen and want save on purchasing a new one, it make som sense to get one.

Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
I did a little search for the 3d starter pack and I saw a price about $400.
So, I think that it's not a very good buy, considering that you have to have a 3d ready tv-set of a certain model.
In my opinion, it's better to buy a tv with 3d and glasses from the beginning and avoid such additional packs.Leave a comment:

Hi BM 300,
i don't see the advantage for such a Box. Because you still need
a 3D screen to watch 3D contents with glasses. Does it make
some convertion?

Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
For those who cannot afford the expensive 3D sreen,
There is a little box that you can use between the receiver and the TV.
It gives you the choice of various formats of 3D.
I have seen the box in one of the satellite shows.
This is one example:

Yes guys glasses is not quite convenient option, but a review of programs in 3D on the nature or mountain scenery is very impressive, this effect in the Ultra HD probably will not beLeave a comment:

Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
Only a short information to that, which sounds a bit strange:
Sonys' ps3 supports 3d, the ps4 doesn't. Perhaps they update it some day.Leave a comment:

Re: Is it end of 3D technology in tv?
According to BBC Click, ( watch it while ago), most of the giant TV companies such as sony, Samsung and Panasonic are working on making these glasses free by using several LCD or creating different focal image points. it will be a while till they succeed, but who knowsLeave a comment:
