    Intereactive services ( Freeview )

I see sometimes Psuh Red Buton on some UK channels ...
I guess it's some kind of services a bit like HBB or " Open " Standard , without the need of an internet connection , isn't ?
I Wonder, can we access these services too with our E2 STB's ? if yes , How ?

    Hi mate

Propably you mean some uk encrypted channels.
Interactive services are available only for legally clients of a provider with the original card.
Clients using cardsh&ring in order to decrypt the channels, haven't access to these services.

If you mean accessing the Ondemand players as they are called such as BBC Iplayer, ITV Player, 4OD, 5 on demand etc.. then these are available as a plugin for most E2 receivers. You will of course need a UK ip address to access the content which should be possible via a VPN

The red button you are talking about will not work on a standard Satellite box as it usually links to a seperate feed or is entirely interactive. On a freeview box where it works, it will also not let you record anything that is via interactive...

The red button is like a form a the old "teletext" if you are aware of what that is...

I know that when special events like the Olympics or Wimbledon is on the red
button allowed you access to more feeds if that is what you mean and they
were available as a separate feed to view like any other normal channel. I don't
Know about E2 but on my openbox channel list these feeds are available under
          interactive services, bbc and slys.

These channels are available for both sly abd bbc. Easiest thing to do is use a premade bouquet, such as auto bouquet maker for enigma 2 boxes.

              hi guys

If I remember well all this 'subchannels' should also be found as a normal channel, but possible that the channelname is a bit odd (surely sky uk package). Tbis was the case with olympics (didn't check wimbledon) - I presume this is the 'option' button with which you can choose another 'channel', like eg F1 and german foot on sky ger.

From what i saw on several official boxes of several countrys , it allows to access things a bit look like as HBB tv , a kind of super teletext as said by a user here.
Talking about HBB, how do it work , i just saw it working 2 or 3 times with ZDF , then , i did try this week end to see it again, but can't find how to start HBB and maybe this service is not working anymore... anyone have more knowledge about HBB ?

Red button services are often used in sporting events, such as wimbledon, whereby pushing the red button allows you to choose which match you want to watch.
Also good if their are more events showing than there are channels available. Sly will almost always have extra sports showing interactively.

These subchannels can definately be found as normal channels through a satellite box. That is the advantage satellite has over the red button (As it is limiting with what you can do with the channel).

                      I believe the frequencies are: 12070 H 27500 on 28East.

Have a try and see what you get! When there is no sport on it shows an empty feed I think.
