Hi all, I have just purchased a Spider Box HD 6000 (as a present), thought I had done my homework and then I come across some sites stating it's fake/rubbish etc. I have never used a sat rec before and have no idea how to use one. I thought by paying more I would get a better model????

Re: Help, have I made a mistake?
I bought it from the dreaded Ebay, it doesn't state in the listing but it isn't due till next week, I just went into a state of panic when I saw some of the things people were saying. I bought this for my partner and because I thought i'd bought rubbish I told him and now he is asking is it's 'open box', no idea what he is on about, can someone shed some light please?Comment

Re: Help, have I made a mistake?
Hi @rachy42 and welcome to forum
Spider Box HD 6000 is a non Linux based receiver and that's means it's very limited.
Advanced users would rejected immediatly, but for someone who now starts on the sat world, I think it's ok.
If you want to do more with a sat receiver having more abilities, you must search for another solution, as a linux receiver.
I believe that the box comes with "gift" so you can enjoy it for some months for free.
After that, you can add cccam or mgcamd lines via remote control. If You Like My Post..... Please Press the Thanks ButtonComment
