just wondering is anyone knows if we will be able to receive the new bt sports channels on a linux based sat box.

If you have a bt account you will be able to get it through your phone line, it is a isp only service I don't think they have a sat transponder for that service unless you can get it by hacking the sat that will download it to them for distribution.

I have a dreambox and bt sports channels work ok through cs as the other channels on 28E.
Do you have any problem with these channels?

I'm afraid this is not correct, they are broadcasting via satellite too. The preview channels are already in place on transponder frequencies, 11222.17 H, 11527.00 V, 11585.00 H, 12606.65 V and 12643.00 V.

The new sports channels (BT Sport 1, BT Sport 2, BT Sport 1 HD and BT Sport 2 HD) officially go on air on the 1st August 2013. All just in time for the new Premier League season, for which they have the rights to show some of the live games.

I think they will available be through the sly package as an added subscription so if your cs provider pays extra for them then i don't see why you won't get them

BT sport as a test channel is available. Therefore I assume that it will be part
of the sly sport package and not something separate.

I agree with you mate

Bt sports channels will be part of sly uk , so will be available for those people who have cards or make cs.
For these moment, they are as test channels, but soon will emite normaly.
