For be sure, in UK 75cm is what i would recomend.
With 45cm you may experience problems when rain comes , also, it will be worst with MPEG4 signals who are more fragile.

I have the 45 cm zone 1 mini dish and don't have problems even in the worst weather.
75 cm dish for 28.2 e would be overkill and better used as a motorised or multi sat setup.

ofcourse mpeg4 signals are diffrence
some mp4 signals are strong it depend to location

If you live further north like me you can struggle to get Ch's like bio and Dmax with a mini dish and when it rains forget it,but most are strong signals and you will get what you got before you changed the box over.
