    Getting a new DVB-S reciever

Hey guys, yeah it's me again, i have another thing that i would like to ask, as the old reciever of my grandparents died the last week, so they have to buy a new one and now i am asking myself what could be a cheap but good option(should display HDTV, have possibility of CCcam and Linux would be nice, but hasn't too) i think about something in the area of 150€ +/-. Any recommendations and a description why would be nice, thanks for your help in advance!

PS: I was already looking a bit and found something like Head Medialink Black Panther and Gigablue 800, would this be good?
If you think my post was helpfull for you, i would be glad if you click the thanks button.

The three cheapest single tuner Linux receivers that are around your budget are:

    MaxDigital XP1000 £139
    GiGaBlue HD800SE £149
    Technomate TM-Single £169

All are Enigma2, supported by the excellent Vix Team image, run softcams and are HD. Despite being the cheapest, the MaxDigital has the quickest processor and the most RAM. The Technomate is the second quickest box and has the most flash memory, though less RAM than the MaxDigital.

It is also worth noting, the Technomate is the only box of the three that can run an internal hard disk drive. The other two can record through their USB ports, but not internally.

      hi ProgSkEEtO

or perhaps a box with a gift can be an option (such as eg protek, mvision or spiderbox) - to know more if you're interested, use the search function.

          maybe build a receiver itself?
Then search for "yavdr" or "easyvdr". :-)
          There are many possibilities.

            Hi mate

What exactly do you mean with this?
I made a search for yavdr and I found that it's a distribution of linux (I think...)
so, could you tell us more infos about it?

            @ProgSkEEtO
Give a little more money and buy a dreambox clone 800se.
If you want to save some money , you can also buy it from China.
